Doris is a registered clinical psychologist under The Division of Clinical Psychology of The Hong Kong Psychological Society Limited.
Doris gained her clinical experience through working at public hospitals and local school community settings. Her area of expertise lies mainly in individual assessments and therapies for clients with anxiety; depression; neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorder and attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder; insomnia; marital distress; cancer induced distress; palliative care and grief. Doris has also delivered numerous professional trainings to teachers and social workers on children and adolescents mental health issues, as well as to medical officers, nurses and allied health professionals on cancer-related palliative care.
Throughout her career, Doris believes in the diversified nature and needs of individuals. She endeavours to collaborate with each client with respect, in order to optimize the clients’ strengths, potentials and psychological well-being. Doris adopts evidence-based psychological approaches in her clinical practices, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Behavioural Therapy, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy for Couples, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy as well as Dignity Therapy.
Other than her Master Degree in clinical psychology from The University of Hong Kong, Doris also holds a Master Degree in Christian Studies from The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
